Aladdin, 2019 – ★★★½
Better than I thought it would be.
There were some pretty funny moments.
Wu Yen, 2001 – ★★
I’d forgotten that I’d watched this show. It was sheer curiosity of how the story would end that got me through this movie.
The humour is way to ridiculous and nobody is taking anything seriously.
It’s definitely not worth watching, but I don’t hate it, so it gets more than one star.
Summer Holiday, 2000 – ★★★
Ah, the nostalgia.
It’s a very typical Hong Kong rom com of the late 90s, early 2000s, with ridiculous humour and low budgets. But it’s very sweet and has some pretty nice moments.
Ex Machina, 2014 – ★★★½
Eerily creepy, and so not my cup of tea. But if you like this genre of movie, I think it’s pretty well done.
Saw this in a Dallas Walmart. Made me want to buy physical movies again, just for those covers.
The Avengers, 2012 – ★★★½
Our family is rewatching all the Marvel movies and we’re up to the first Avengers movie. I remember not being too impressed by it the first time I watched it. Maybe it’s nostalgia, but it wasn’t that bad.
I’m okay if they aren’t the best if in exchange I’m getting a higher degree of privacy.
My thoughts are similar.
Bokeh: Private, ad-free, and user-funded photo sharing by Tim Smith — Kickstarter
This is an interesting concept, and reminds me a little bit of micro.blog. The details are a little light though and I’m not sure whether I’m confident in the project enough to back it. What do you think?
