My friend Brett Terpstra has some tips for sane cable storage that seem sound. I recently did such an organize and purge and wish I’d had some of these ideas at hand.

Thanks for sharing that, there’s a lot of good tips there – maybe I’ll finally get around to untangling that rat nest I have… 🐀🐍

The popularity of the tutu can be traced to its unlikely flexibility as a statement—it can mean you love Minnie Mouse, or that you are part of a fundraising team that has qualified for the Boston Marathon, or that you actually hate running but this is the only way you’re going to have fun doing ...

@Eli This reminds me of how some people in my warband went on a 10km run in full metal armour

The last living human link to the 19th century is gone Yesterday Nabi Tajima, the last known survivor of the 19th century, died in Japan at age 117. There is nobody left alive on the planet that we know about that was born in the 19th century. Via @kottke

Thank you for sharing that. It’s easy to think that the 19th century was ancient history, but to think that just a few days ago there was someone around who was from that era!

Even if they weren’t old enough to remember anything from the early 1900s, they still witnessed a lot of history. I could only hope that Nabi Tajima’s memories and stories have been safely passed on to her descendant.

It’s something to think about.

Can someone explain to me why you’d read using an app like Reeder 3 over just reading your RSS feed from Feedly or your read-it-later service like Instapaper?

So I found the issue with webmentions not working on my site.

There’s a Bluehost plugin that is automatically installed if you use Bluehost to host your WordPress site. Just deactive it and you’re good to go.
